Holden Beach, NC has the longest shoreline of any of the Southern Brunswick Islands at eleven miles long. Between Lockwood Folly Inlet and the Shallotte River on the east and west and the Intracoastal Waterway on the north, there are many opportunities to enjoy water sports. Even though there has been an increase of visitors to the “amusement park” beaches, Holden Beach has remained untouched and recognized nationally as one of the best family beaches. Great care has been taken to preserve the old-time family vacation.
